First Seattle Casting: Challenger

Exciting news! Lia has been cast in her first Seattle show, Challenger, a new play with an all-female cast! Originally devised by a group of students at Central Washington University, this exciting new work includes singing, dance, and physical theatre. The show explores and reimagines characters/events leading up to the 1986 Challenger space shuttle disaster and its aftermath. Lia will play a variety of roles including Ellison Onizuka, a mission specialist on the Challenger and first Asian American in space, and Steve Nesbitt, "the voice for NASA during [the] Challenger tragedy." January 28, 2016 marks the 30th anniversary of the disaster, and Lia is incredibly excited to work with the cast under the direction of Natalie Copeland. The production also includes choreography by Sierra Tinhof and will run at Pocket Theater in April. More info on upcoming events, performance dates, and tickets, coming soon!
